Dave Doonan
Chief Doonan is a local Rancher and Business owner. He entered the Fire Service in 1983 as a paid firefighter for the UC Davis Fire Department. Dave served six years with UC Fire before graduating from UC Davis as a large animal veterinarian in 1990. Dave and his wife, Diane, moved to Garnerville, Nevada, in 1993, where Dave immediately joined the Gardnerville Volunteer Fire Department. He became Chief of that department and served as Chairman of the East Fork Fire and Paramedic District Advisory Board for two terms, managing the $4,000,000 combined budget and district operations. Dave and family moved to Hammil Valley in 2000 and purchased Montgomery Creek Ranch, where he has been since. Dave became Chief of the White Mountain Fire Protection District in 2017
