We Have Opportunities Available In - (But Not Limited To...)
- All Hazard Firefighting - This is the "traditional" firefighting role. Volunteers respond to all hazards, including structural fires, vehicle fires, wildland fires - both locally and statewide mutual aid, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, public assistance, as well as Emergency Medical calls.
- Wildland Firefighter Only - This role involves training in wildland firefighting for response both locally and statewide mutual aid. This role can result in significant travel during the fire season. There is also pay associated with this role
- Emergency Medicine and Transport - This is the busiest and most rewarding role. This involves responding to all types of medical calls, from trauma to sickness to cardiac incidents. Involves the transport of patients to a higher care facility. We provide training and certification to the EMT Basic, EMT - Advanced as well as some cases Paramedic.
- General Support Role - This role involves hearts and hands to support the community in times of crisis, support emergency scene rest and rehab for personnel on scene as well as other support functions.
- Community Events - We always need help in organizingg community events like our annual music festival and community dinner. Bring your organizational skills to help our community
- Grant Writing and Fundraising - Without financial support, the fire department would cease to exist. This is an ongoing and critical part of the functioning of this district. The White Mountain Fire and Rescue Association is a qualified 501 c(3) charitable organization and could use your help with fundraising activities. The district also applies for many grants and is always looking for assistance.
- Maintenance and Landscaping - This is an oft-overlooked part of a community facility. It needs maintenance and upkeep. If you have an interest in equipment maintenance, building maintenance, landscape and grounds, etc. we can put it to use
- Any interest you have - This is not a complete list of opportunities. If you have an interest or skill, we want to hear from you!
We are not judged on our intentions, but on our achievementsMotto, White Mountain FPD
